Harry, Jasper and a little girl who moved in with a neighbor were born in what's now my office. If we hadn't seen the birthing with our own eyes, we never would have believed they were siblings because they got to be so different in size.
Adorable, aren't they!
![]() When they grew up, Harry weighed about 12 pounds and looked like a kind of shortened daschound; Jasper weighed in at almost 60 pounds and looked like part wolf. It's all the more amazing when you see their mother, Lollypop. She was a dainty little toy poodle we'd found abandoned one bitter February in the parking lot of my Mom's building. She was so puny you could count her ribs just by looking at her. Needless to say, in this house, that didn't last long! The following year, along came Harry and Jasper. Harry was Adagio's best buddy. He followed him every where he went, no matter what. Even into the water... and poor little Harry absolutely hated the water! When Adagio went swimming with us, Harry would pace on the shoreline, whimpering, until he couldn't stand it any more. Then he'd dive in and swim circles around us, trying to shepherd us all back onto land. |
Who would have ever believed this cutie would be the mama of...
Despite his outdoorsy appearance, Harry wasn't much help at shoveling snow or chopping wood. |
